Head of Commercial Sales to Nordisk Film Biografer

At Nordisk Film Biografer we are looking for a motivational and creative leader with a background in the experience industry or sales of services to join our Danish cinema organization!

Nordisk Film Biografer is a business unit within Nordisk Film, and we operate 23 cinemas in Denmark where we are the market leader. The cinema experience is still a highly valued proposition, though competition has grown with new cinemas opening, developing a new market condition and setting which we need to react to. We constantly invest in our business introducing new concepts and cinemas which has increased our market share in certain regions but still with unrealized potential and we are therefore on the lookout for a new Head of Commercial Sales that can help us rise to the challenge!

Your job
As our new Head of Commercial Sales, you will have the daily management responsibility for our Danish commercial sales organization with reference to the Danish Country Director, Casper Bonavent.

Other responsibilities include:

  • The leadership and development of the commercial strategies for the Danish cinema business and setting the commercial landscape in a profitable and creative way supporting the overall vision and enhancing the product experience delivery
  • Building and strengthening the commercial offerings and concepts at our cinemas to drive brand preference and guest value in alignment and coordination with marketing- and operational activities to enhance the overall entertainment propositions 
  • Responsible for the secondary revenue growth and development including new business income, F&B and retail channels, B2B, conferences/meetings, leasing, second gate activities, partner- and sponsorships and event activities
  • Building a close collaboration with the cinema managers to understand and enhance local markets and sales strategies
  • Developing and introducing new commercial concepts, propositions and assortments
  • Building and developing the sales strategies and tactics for the chain
  • Conceptualizing and leading the development of sales packages to business partners and B2B industries
  • Developing event proposals and functions towards B2C and B2B in close alignment with the marketing department and commercial partners
  • Managing procurement- and supplier relations including tendering and contract negotiation processes
  • Building sponsor- and partnership revenue in alignment with overall brand guidelines
  • Responsible for delivering the department financial KPIs including the ownership of budgets, P&L, CAPEX and long-range planning
  • Driving initiatives to establish and execute a more sustainable and environmentally focused commercial department
  • Establishing commercial loss prevention procedures
  • Part of the Nordisk Film Biografer leadership and building the overall strategy for Nordisk Film Biografer
  • Leading by example and contributing to a strong company culture

Who we are looking for
On a personal level you possess good communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and it is imperative that you have a commercial mindset and power to execute. Additionally, you thrive with change and enjoy working in a high pace environment and excel in creative and innovative processes.

Qualifications and experience include:

  • You are motivational and an experienced leader with experience from i.e. the leisure, service, retail or media industry within marketing and sales
  • Capable of developing a strong performance and high engagement people culture
  • You have solid experience with the experience industry and/or sales of services
  • You have solid experience with CEM and management of this
  • You are analytical and have a good understanding for data; how to interpret and conveyYou have a good technical and digital understanding within data handling, e-commerce and consumer insights
