Denmark’s leading media group is looking for an ambitious, structured, and proactive M&A Manager with strong technical skills to join our Corporate Finance team.

Corporate Finance covers M&A, Treasury and Procurement. We are a small department with great ambitions, and, above all, we want to excel in our core disciplines and assist our divisions in realising their strategic goals.

Egmont has an ambitious inorganic growth strategy over the coming years, primarily within the e-commerce, digital marketing, gaming and audio books industries.

As M&A Manager in Egmont’s Corporate Finance team you will:
•    Prepare and challenge business cases for new acquisitions
•    Prepare and verify valuations for new investments
•    Be a vital sparring partner to the divisional management in structuring deals and financial mechanisms and instruments
•    Negotiate technical aspects of share purchase agreements with seller
•    Execute and steer M&A processes as project manager
•    Coordinate due diligence process internally
•    Prepare material reports for Group Management and the Board of Directors
•    Make ad-hoc financial models and analysis

A natural part of the position is close cooperation with our divisions and other corporate functions such as Strategy & Development, Legal, Accounting as well as external parties.

You will be exposed to changing assignments and sometimes unpredictable workdays in an international environment and an ever-changing media landscape. There will be periods with big workload and periods which are relatively quiet.

You are proactive, a relationship-builder and an expert within your field
As a person, you are ambitious, proactive, fact based and structured. You can dig in the detail as well as keep the overview of complex processes. You enjoy acting as an expert within your field. We are looking for a business-oriented person who wants to be best in class and possesses a strong interest in advising the business in M&A matters.

You have:
•    4-6 years’ experience from a similar position in transaction services, a valuation team and/or a M&A department in a large corporation
•    A relevant master’s degree (cand.polit, cand.oecon, cand.merc. or similar)
•    A strong desire to make a difference and build strong relationships with divisional managements
•    Thorough experience with building and challenging business cases and valuations
•    Experience with technical aspect of transactions e.g., purchase price mechanisms, earn-out structures etc.
•    Experience with and knowledge about all steps of the M&A process
•    Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple internal and external stakeholders
•    Solid interpersonal skills and track record in establishing productive working relationships with all stakeholders
•    Excellent oral, presentation and written communicational skills in English and a Scandinavian language
•    Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.

You are ready to make an extra effort when deadlines are coming up, but you also possess patience to work with long term projects and strategies. Also, creating relations comes easily to you.
